Exercise caution when restoring an image file to a virtual machine with a different hardware version

Summary

1) Create an image file using a hardware version 8 (ESX5.0).
2) Restore it to ESX4.1.
* The restore operation immediately returns an error: [1038] VgCollector return error. 

This error occurs due to "Not Supported," as indicated in the reference article.

Workaround

Please restore an image file to ESX/ESXi supported by a hardware version.
