Console does not appear in the WindowsPE Boot environment

Symptoms

The ActiveImage Protector console does not appear in the WindowsPE Boot environment.

Environment

– ESX/ESXi
– Linux VM
– WindowsPE Boot Environment

Workaround

1) Stop the Virtual machine.
2) Select the settings for the network adapter from the configuration of the virtual machine.
3) Check the “Connected” and “Connect at Power On” in the status of the device.
4) Disable this option.
5) Start the Windows PE boot environment.
6) After the console appears, select the settings for the network adapter from the settings of the virtual machine.
7) Check the “Connected” and “Connect at Power On” in the status of the device.
8) Enable this option.
