Copying files from a mounted backup image created using deduplication may be slow

Summary

It may take a long time to mount deduplication backup images, and copy a file from the backup image.
Retrieving deduplicated file data results in mechanical latency.
Therefore, the transfer rate of the copy is reduced to about 300KB/Sec.

Resolution

If you frequently mount backup images to restore individual files, please disable deduplication.
