Updating Windows before an incremental backup might lead to missing changed sectors

Summary

Running Windows Update after a full or incremental backup can cause a misalignment in changed sector tracking. Restoring the image might result in the OS not booting correctly.

Cause

Known issue in the tracking driver.

Workaround

Please update to AIP2018 Update 6.
