An AIPService error is logged in the Event Log during OS shutdown

Symptoms

Errors are logged in the System Event Log during OS shutdown with the following details:

Log Name: System
Source: Service Control Manager
Event ID: 7043
Level: Error
Description:  ActiveImage Protector Service was not properly shut down after receiving pre-shutdown control.

It's worth noting that this error doesn't impact the OS or ActiveImage Protector.

Causes

This is a known issue of ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7.

Workaround

To resolve this issue, apply patch version 20.12.24.12, which includes a fix.
