When AAS and AIP2018 are installed on the same machine, activation may not be readily performed.

Summery

In offline environment without internet connection, you need to deploy Actiphy Authentication Service (AAS) for activation of ActiveImage Protector 2018 (AIP2018).
When you have no other machine to deploy AAS, AIP2018 and AAS may be installed on the same machine to request for the product activation.

Only when AAS and AIP2018 are installed on the same machine, immediately after installation of AIP2018, manual activation of the product may not be performed.
Manual activation of the product can be performed a couple of minutes after AAS service is started.
* However, immediate manual activation is not required since activation of the product will be automatically performed.
