Summary
If you try to mount a backup image with a corrupted file system, unmounting might become impossible, leading to a Kernel Panic during the backup process.
Cause
This is caused by a conflict between the snapshot driver and image unmount.
Workaround
Download the cumulative patch from the following:
http://kb.s3.netjapan.com/AIP2018Update_Cumulative_patch1910.zip
Prerequisites for patching:
This patch can only be applied to the following versions:
-AIP2018 Update (5.1.4.5640)
Please upgrade to AIP2018 Update (5.1.4.5640) before applying the patch.
This cumulative patch also includes a fix for AIP2018 in [File system may be corrupted after image restore on AIP2016 / 2018 Linux].
Applying this cumulative patch resolves both issues.
Patch installation instructions:
1) Download the patch and save it to any location, then unzip it.
2) Grant execute permission to the file.
# chmod + x AIP2018Update_Cumulative_patch1910.bin
3) Run this bin file on the terminal.
