Summary
When booting up Linux system or executing a backup task, the following messages are recorded in system log.
1) Messages recorded when booting up the system
kernel: dattobd: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.
kernel: dattobd: module verification failed: signature and/or required key missing – tainting kernel
kernel: datto: failed to locate system call table, persistence disabled
This message is recorded due to unsigned snapshot driver and has little impact on the operation. You can ignore the message.
2) Messages recorded when executing backup task
kernel: datto: fallocate is not supported for ‘/boot/efi/.datto’, falling back on writing zeros
This message is recorded when creating COW file by using fallocate command and has little impact on the operation. You can ignore the message.
