Summary
In AIP2018 and earlier, there were no restrictions on naming image files. However, for security reasons, AIP2022 and later versions do not allow changing the image file name. The default file name was defined differently in AIP2018 and earlier.
Host Name@img_Date_Disk Number_Full image number_Incremental file number.aiv / .aii Ex)hostname@img_20220401_d00_00001.aiv hostname@img_20220401_d00_00001_i00001.aii
ActiveImage Protector 2022 organizes backups by creating a UUID folder in the backup destination. The image file name follows a specific format.
UUID_hash value.aiv / aii Ex)23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908\23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908_xxxx.....30.aiv 23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908\23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908_xxxx.....31.aii
To organize backup image files, make a sub-folder with any name and set it as the backup destination. Starting from ActiveImage Protector 2022 Version 7.0.0.8643, new tasks add "-host name" to the folder when saving backup image files.
UUID_hash value.aiv / aii 例)23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908-host name\23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908_xxxx.....30.aiv 23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908-host name\23d81d99-cdbe-403d-94dc-8b77090db908_xxxx.....31.aii *When the schedule settings configured with 6.0.0.7292/6.5.0.7616 are migrated when upgrading, the destination setting of the backup files created with migrated schedule is unchanged.
