Altering the TEMP environment variable causes issues with the proper application of the patch

Summary

After modifying the values of the TEMP/TMP system environment variables and applying a patch, the GUI fails to launch due to inadequate binary. 

Causes

This is a known issue with the installer.

Workaround

Change the system environment variable to the default value and apply patch.
