Response to the operating system stopping during a backup process

Summary

If the operating system stops or restarts during an online backup process, ActiveImage Protector responds in the following way. 

Volume Backup
If the operating system is detected to be stopped, the task is canceled (Exit Code -1), and no backup image file is created.

File Backup
If the operating system is not detected as stopped, the task result is recorded as "Succeeded." Consequently, if the OS stops or restarts during a file backup process, the backup may either contain no data or the data within it may be corrupted.
