If a file backup task fails, incorrect backup data may be retained

Summary

Even if a file backup task fails, a backup file is created and stays in the destination folder. Consequently, due to the presence of this incorrect backup file, an incremental backup chain continues to be generated.

Causes

This is an known issue.

Workaround

If a file backup task fails, manually delete the backup file created at that time. If you've used Explorer to open the file, log off/on and then delete it.
