Installation of ActiveImage Protector 2022 Linux on CentOS 7.0/7.1 is supported with limitations due to some issues occurred with the respective packages.
If using CentOS 7.x, you are strongly recommended to use CentOS 7.2 or later,
- The installation of the GUI is not allowed. Only Agent is allowed to install.
*Update of systemd is essential for installation of the vital package for GUI, however, blackout occurs (unrecoverable) when updating systemd.
- Offline installation of the GUI (using OS installation DVD) is not allowed. Only Agent is allowed to install.
*Offline installation of the required packages is not allowed, due to the packages dependence issue.
- Full installation is allowed in the environment with persistent internet connection.
・When installing the essential package for GUI in the environment with internet connection, due to a bug in the yum command of CentOS 7.1, redhat-release is upgraded to Version 7.9. As a result, while the system is Version 7.1, redhat-release is Version 7.9, negatively affecting on the subsequent yum command execution. Therefore, you are recommended to install 7.2 or later OS.
