Restoring image files created with “AES 128 bit” encryption fails.

Details

When restoring a backup image file that is “AES 128 bit” encrypted and protected with a password containing more than 26 characters, AIP service crashes, and the recovery process might fail.

The following processes may fail.
・File Recovery
・BootCheck
・HyperRecovery LIVE!
・Virtualization Adapter

Workarounds

This problem occurs when using the “AES 128 bit” encryption option for backup file, instead please select “AES 256 bit” for encryption.

This issue is fixed in ActiveImage Protector 2022 7.0.3.8919.
