vStandby or HyperStandby - When virtual switch name includes a "[" character, the static IP is not reflected on the standby VM

Details

If a Hyper-V virtual switch name contains the character "[", the specified static IP is not applied to the standby VM in vStandby or HyperStandby configurations

Causes

This is a known issue.

Workaround

Please avoid using "[" in the virtual switch name and use this name when creating a task.

This issue was fixed in patch version 24.7.31.2.
