The licenses and image files created by Deploy Media Creator and Deploy USB are not compatible, causing the following problems.
When plugging in the USB with the master image created by Deploy USB 4 and booting up Deploy Media Creator:
● When trying to embed the image created by Deploy USB in Create Deploy USB, you will get the error message "The image is not supported" and fail to embed the image.
● When selecting Create Recovery USB device or Create Restore Optical Disk, the media is not recognized as the source and cannot be selected.
● When updating the USB media, "Media Type" shows as "Unknown" and "Remaining number of licenses" as "N/A".
● In the Manage License window, trying to register a product key gives the message "This version does not support this product key."
When plugging in the USB with the deployment image created by Deploy Media Creator and booting up Deploy USB:
● When trying to embed the image created by Deploy Media Creator in Create Deploy USB, you will get the error message "This image is not supported. Only images created by ActiveImage Deploy USB are supported," and the embedding will fail.
● When selecting Create Restore USB media, it's not recognized as the source and cannot be selected.
● When selecting Create Restore Optical Disk, you'll receive the message "The backup image was not created using Deploy USB." You cannot use it.
● When updating USB media, the media type is unknown and the remaining licenses show as "N/A".
● When trying to register a product key in License Manager, "license error" is indicated.
Deploy Media Creator and Deploy USB 4 can be installed on the same PC, but they are not compatible. Please boot up the product used to create the USB media.
