Activating a guest virtual machine and running HyperBack tasks both fail to execute in Version 7.0.0.7292

Details

In Version 7.0.0.7292, a [Configure Hypervisor role] option appears when registering a host.

If you disable this option when registering the hypervisor, you’ll encounter these issues:

- Guest virtual machine activation fails with the message: "The hypervisor on which this virtual machine is configured is not registered."

- HyperBack tasks cannot be created because registered hosts are not listed.

 

Workaround

Enable the HyperBack (agentless backup) checkbox as the hypervisor role, then re-register the host.

This issue is resolved in the following patch or later versions.

- Agent Version：6.0.1.7411

- Console Version：6.0.1.7411

With the patch, the [Configure Hypervisor role] option is removed when registering a host. Now, the hypervisor is automatically registered as the target host for HyperBack.
