Check the details of the USB device made with Deploy Media Creator

Details

Deploy Media Creator records information on the Deploy/Recovery USB device or through the ImageCast client PC to prevent unauthorized use. This article explains how to use the program and view the recorded information. Running the program does not change or affect the USB device.

When to Use
Use this program if you have multiple product keys.
If you launch Deploy Media Creator without registering a product key in the License Management window, you may see an error. Use this program to check the displayed product key and enter it into the License Management window.

1) When choosing [Create Recovery USB Device], if you plug in the Deployment USB and select it, you’ll see an error message and the Recovery USB cannot be created.

2) When selecting [Update existing USB Deployment Device] and plugging in the Deploy USB, the product key isn’t automatically detected.

Operating Procedures
Plug in the USB device to check it. If multiple USBs are connected, info for all will be shown.

1) Download the program from the link below and unzip the file.
2) Insert the target USB and double-click ShowRdd.exe.
3) When asked "Do you want to allow this application to make changes to your device?", click Yes.
4) When a message appears in the terminal, click Yes again.

5) The status of all connected external devices is shown, and “Hit Any Key” appears at the end. The results are not saved automatically. To save them (e.g., to Notepad), continue from step 6.

6) Right-click the top-left corner of the command prompt, go to [Edit] > [Select All]. Once everything is highlighted, right-click again to copy it to the clipboard.

7) Open Notepad, right-click, and choose Paste to add the copied content.

8) Return to the command prompt, press any key to close the program.
