Symptoms
If you perform a Windows Update on Windows 10, the Shutdown backup might not work properly.
1) You can't cancel the Shutdown backup.
2) The Shutdown backup doesn't run.
Causes
1) There's an issue with the local policy shutdown script display.
2) When upgrading to the Fall Creators Update, the registry value for the "local group policy - shutdown script" will be removed.
Workarounds
1) Please apply KB 4025342.

2-1) Modify the schedule by deselecting "Shutdown/Reboot," follow the wizard until the end, and then click "Done."
2-2) Modify the schedule once more, this time select "Shutdown/Reboot," follow the wizard to the end, and click "Done."
