Details
A Proxmox-related issue has been identified in ActiveImage Protector 2022 Version 7.8.0.10194.
Issue
1) When ActiveImage Protector is installed on Windows 11 using a HyperAgent key or a Server Key for Virtual Edition, Proxmox guest VMs may not display correctly in the HyperBack wizard. Additionally, HyperBack backup tasks fail with error -301 for all guest VMs except VMID 100.
2) When ActiveImage Protector is installed on Windows 11 with a HyperAgent key for Virtual Edition and a Proxmox host is registered, activation may fail on guest VMs other than VMID 100 if they are using a Virtual Edition guest key. This issue is related to Issue #1 and is caused by incorrect detection of guest VM information.
3) When multiple Proxmox hosts are registered in Preferences > Hypervisor, HyperBack schedules cannot be created for guest VMs that share the same VMID across different hosts.
Example:
- Register two Proxmox hosts.
- Create a HyperBack schedule for VMID 100 on the first host.
- When creating a HyperBack schedule for VMID 100 on the second host, ActiveImage Protector incorrectly reports that the schedule already exists and prevents its creation.
To fix Issues 1–3, download and install the patch below when no backup jobs or other ActiveImage Protector operations are running.
- Download the patch.
- Double-click the file and click Install.
- The ActiveImage Protector service and console will restart automatically during installation.
