Modify CentOSBE settings

Summary

You can modify the settings in the CentOS Boot Environment (BE) in AIP2018, which is built on the LiveDVD of CentOS 7.3 / CentOS 7.4. 

– Switch input languages

The default input language is US English, which can be inconvenient for operations due to differences in the key layout during command execution. 

Steps
1) Quit the console.

Click “Open Terminal” from the Console — Utilities.
After starting the terminal, execute the following command to terminate the console.

# killall AIProtector

2) Change the CentOSBE setting.

From the upper left menu, Applications — System Tools — Settings — Region & Language — Input Sources — press the [+] button .
Add any language.
Please switch as shown.

3) Start the Console.

# /opt/BE/AIProtector

– Time zone switching

The default setting automatically sets the time zone, but in environments without internet access, it defaults to UTC.

Steps
1) Quit the console.

Click “Open Terminal” from the console utility.
After starting the terminal, execute the following command to end the console.

# killall AIProtector

2) Change the CentOSBE setting.

From the upper left menu, Applications — System Tools — Settings — Date & Time — Turn off Automatic Time Zone.
Use the time zone button to change to another time zone.

3) Start the Console.

# /opt/BE/AIProtector
