Details
1) Upgrading from ActiveImage Protector 3.5
Please make sure that ActiveImage Protector 3.5 is uninstalled before starting installation of ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7.
* You are not allowed to upgrade directly from ActiveImage Protector 3.5 to ActiveImage Protector 2018.
* Migration of the schedule settings configured with ActiveImage Protector 3.5 is not supported.
* When a patch program is available, please install and apply the patch.
2) Upgrading from ActiveImage Protector 2016/2016 R2
- When using online product key
Run the setup program for ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7 to perform upgrading. Migration of the schedule settings configured with ActiveImage Protector 2016/2016 R2 is supported. Windows system restart is needed upon completion of upgrading.
- When using offline product key
As the product key has to be changed, you are not allowed to upgrade directly to ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7. You need to uninstall the earlier version and then install ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7.
* When a patch program is available, please install and apply the patch.
3) Upgrading from an earlier version of ActiveImage Protector 2018
In the environment where the earlier version of ActiveImage Protector 2018 is installed, please upgrade to ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7.
Migration of the schedule settings configured with the earlier version is supported. Windows system restart is needed upon completion of upgrading.
* When a patch program is available, please install and apply the patch.
4) When installing the patch program for ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7
Run the installer of the patch program in the environment where ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7 is installed.
Windows system restart is not required.
