1) Upgrading from ActiveImage Protector 3.5
- Before installing ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7, ensure that ActiveImage Protector 3.5 is uninstalled.
* Directly upgrading from ActiveImage Protector 3.5 to ActiveImage Protector 2018 is not permitted.
* Migration of schedule settings configured in ActiveImage Protector 3.5 is not supported.
* If a patch program is available, please install and apply it.
2) Upgrading from ActiveImage Protector 2016/2016 R2
- When using online product key
To upgrade, run the setup program for ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7. It supports migrating schedule settings from ActiveImage Protector 2016/2016 R2. A system restart is required after the upgrade.
- When using offline product key
To change the product key, upgrading directly to ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7 is not permitted. Please uninstall the earlier version first, and then install ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7.
* If a patch program is available, please install and apply it.
3) Upgrading from an earlier version of ActiveImage Protector 2018
Upgrade from the earlier version of ActiveImage Protector 2018 to ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7 in your current environment. It supports migrating schedule settings, and a Windows system restart is required after the upgrade.
* If a patch program is available, please install and apply it.
4) When installing the patch program for ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7
Execute the patch program installer in the environment where ActiveImage Protector 2018 Update 7 is installed.
Windows system restart is not required.
