Summary

Backup failed with exit code -312 following a yum update.

Environment

CentOS 5.x / 6.x
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x / 6.x
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x series distribution

Cause

The driver file remains removed after updating the snapshot driver-related file with yum update.

Workaround

1) Execute the following command to get the driver’s path.

# find /lib/ -name dattobd.ko*

2) Execute the following command on the path you got in 1) to load the driver.

# insmod <the driver's file path you got.

3) If the driver name is displayed using the following command, it is loaded correctly. 

# lsmod | grep dattobd

When the above 3) occurs in an environment other than the above,  please use the following operating procedures and re-install the snapshot driver.

# /opt/Actiphy/AIP-packages-tool.sh

Please run the following in order (depending on the version, the number may be different.)
 [7] Uninstall datto driver
 [5] Install datto driver
* When [5] fails in error, please install kernel-devel by using step [4] Install Kernel-devel.
