Summary
You can't restore a system disk or volume, which includes the operating system, while the OS is running. The system volume is typically the "C:" drive in Windows or a volume with "/" in Linux.
You can restore a data-only drive or specific files/folders while the OS is running. To restore a system volume, boot up ActiveImage Protector Boot Environment and follow these steps.
Operating Procedures

1) Turn the operating system off.
2) Start the boot environment based on CentOS from the product's ISO image file [ISO], or use a WinPE-based boot environment you created.
3) Perform the system volume restoration.
