Convert backup image files to virtual machines (P2V) using the Windows Server virtualization feature

Summary

The Windows Server virtualization feature allows P2V conversion for the following backup image files:

• Backup image files created with AIP2018
• Offline backup image files of Windows system created using (WinPE-based/CentOS-based) boot environment.

Limitations:

• Backup image files created with HyperBackup are not supported.
• Hyper-V Enterprise does not support VMware products as conversion targets.
• Linux backup image files are not supported.
