Summary
During a HyperBackup task, a snapshot of the Hypervisor is taken for backup. However, Exchange Server transaction logs are not truncated because VSS on the virtual machine doesn't run.
Workaround
VSS-enabled snapshots on virtual machines are necessary for truncating transaction logs. AIP 2018 Update 7 provides PowerShell and VBS scripts for this purpose.
* If PowerShell is restricted, use the VBS script.
When setting up the schedule for HyperBackup, choose [Advanced Option] > [Script to execute after the snapshot is taken]. Use the script located in the specified path.
* Ensure you log in as a user in the Domain [administrator] and enable administrative share.

– diskshadow.ps1
– diskshadow_ex.vbs
Check the log information for the truncation result.
