Backup and restore the virtual machine system in a cloud environment

Summary

ActiveImage Protector 2022 Cloud facilitates the backup and restoration of virtual machine systems in cloud environments such as Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure. To utilize this, install the ActiveImage Protector agent on Windows or Linux virtual machines. This allows you to create a backup image file containing the entire virtual machine, including the operating system, applications, and data.

In case of emergencies, you can directly restore any backup image to a virtual machine within the same cloud environment. The solution also offers File/Folder Backup and Restore features.

The backup files can be stored directly in Amazon AWS S3 or Microsoft Azure Storage. During system restoration, choose a backup image file saved in these storage options.

For restoring a virtual machine, access the Management console and navigate to "In-Cloud Recovery." Note that direct operations on the restore target machine are not allowed. Instead, use the Management console of AIP2022 Server Edition installed on a remote machine.
