COW file generated during backup with AIP Linux Edition

Summary

When using AIP Linux Edition for backup, it creates a COW file [.datto] in the volumes. This file temporarily stores changes after a snapshot. Do not delete this file.

Full backup: 10% of the source volume

Incremental backup: 0.2% of the source volume

After a full backup, the COW file is used for incremental backup. During backup tasks, exclude this COW file to avoid backing up unnecessary data.
