File Backup Feature Performance

Summary

File Backup is faster than Volume Backup but is not suitable for high-volume files or folders. It's advised to use the Volume Backup feature for such cases. Test results comparing the performance of Volume Backup and File Backup are provided below.

Test Environment： AIP2022 Windows Server: 2019 File Size: 6.67 TB Total number of files: 42000 thousand Totatl number of folders: 5700 thousand  ・File Backup Full Backcup: About 32 hours Incremental Backup: About 4 hours (3 byte data written in text file) ・Volume Backup Full Backcup: About 21 hours Incremental Backup: About 5 minutes (3 byte data written in text file)
