Summary
If you've installed ActiveImage Protector using the MSI installer and can't uninstall it from the application list, use a command from the command line for uninstallation. The MSI installer, employed for distributing the MSI package with Active Directory, acts as a single-module installer when executed from the command line.
Creating MSI formatted installer
1) Launch the ActiveImage Protector 2022 installer, input the product key, choose [Create MSI Installer], and click [Run].
2) Find the MSI formatted installer in the [ActiveImage Protector Components] folder on your desktop. Note: The file name includes hashed product key details, so avoid changing it.
Installation
1) Launch command prompt and enter the following command.
msiexec.exe /i <fil path> /quiet Ex) msiexec.exe /i “C:\Users\<User Name>\Desktop\ActiveImage Protector Components\ActiveImage Protector 2022 Setup-xxxxx.msi” /quiet
Uninstallation
ActiveImage Protector 2022 installed via the MSI formatted installer can only be uninstalled using the following command:
1) Open the command prompt and input the given command.
msiexec.exe /x <file path> /quiet Ex) msiexec.exe /x “C:\Users\<User Name>\Desktop\ActiveImage Protector Components\ActiveImage Protector 2022 Setup-xxxxx.msi” /quiet
2) Wait for a moment, and the ActiveImage Protector shortcut icon on the desktop and the application in [Programs and Features] in Control Panel will be removed.
