When employing a Linux-based boot environment in a Fake RAID configuration, the kernel incorrectly identifies the Fake RAID as mdraid. This leads to the Fake RAID being recognized as [not clean], triggering an automatic [resync]. If the system shuts down during this [resync], the Fake RAID status may become invalid, potentially causing a rebuild.
Therefore, Fake RAID configuration is not supported.
We observed [resync] happening when the boot environment was launched from the specified Live media.
・CentOS 8.3 Live DVD
・Debian officially released Debian11 Live DVD
Therefore, [resync] happens not just during the Linux-based boot environment but also when booting from LiveDVDs of various distributions.
