Summary
In Linux, a formatted disk can be used without partitioning.
However, the partition table of a disk with no partition is indicated as "unknown" or "loop" since the partition table does not exist.
ActiveImage Protector reads the partition table and identifies GPT, MBR or RAW. With no partition table, as the disk type cannot be identified, the disk is unsupported.
Before selecting a backup source disk, please make sure that the disk is partitioned.
