Details
We found that updating only the kernel of the installed Linux operating system causes the OS to hang or terminate unexpectedly during the backup process.
Causes
This problem happens because when only the kernel is updated, the settings for the snapshot driver are configured before the DKMS process finishes.
Workaround
Please update the entire package instead of just the kernel. If you prefer not to update the rest of the package, please conduct thorough testing to ensure there are no issues.
Please update the following packages when the product is installed on RHEL8/9 or clone OS.
- kernel
- kernel-core
- kernel-modules
- kernel-headers
- kernel-devel
Please update the following packages to the same version when the product is installed on RHEL7 or clone OS.
