File Recovery Naming Rules

Applies to Version 7.7.0.9999 (may differ in older versions).

Volume Backup Image

• You can choose: “Do not overwrite files/folders with the same name.”

• If disabled → existing files/folders are overwritten.

• If enabled → restored items are renamed with “-Copy”.

• For folders, only the top-level folder gets “-Copy” (items inside keep original names).

• If restored again to the same location, another “-Copy” is added.

File Backup Image

• No option to prevent overwriting.

• Files are restored using the original drive letter and full path.

• ACL recovery is not supported (but ACLs can be backed up).
