Details
ActiveImage Deploy USB 4 was discontinued in September 2024 and replaced by Actiphy Rapid Deploy. No further updates will be made. The latest Actiphy Rapid Deploy does not support creating a boot environment with the latest ADK.
Windows ADK for Windows 11 Version 22H2 or later:
The latest Windows versions, like Windows 11 24H2, have issues creating a boot environment:
- Booting with Windows RE causes a BSOD 0xc000000f error.
- Creating a boot environment with ADK in Windows 11 24H2 fails.
Follow these steps to create a boot environment using ADK 10.1.26100.2454 and fix the issues above.
Operating Procedures
1) Download the files from the site below and copy them to your boot environment.
Download Site
https://s3.ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com/kb.s3.actiphy.com/new_kb_attachments/deployusb4adk2454.zip
The files are in a ZIP archive. After extracting, you will get the following three files:
copype.cmd
copypeorig.cmd
WinPeTools.ini
2) Download and install ADK 10.1.26100.2454 (Dec 2024) from the Windows ADK site.
* This is the latest supported version; future versions are not supported.
Required ADK components:
- adksetup.exe - Deployment Tools
- adkwinpesetup.exe - Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE)
3) Copy and overwrite the downloaded WinPeTools.ini in the ActiveImage Deploy USB install folder.
Default Install Path
C:\Program Files\Actiphy\ActiveImage Deploy USB
4) Replace the existing copype.cmd in the ADK install path with the downloaded file.
Default Install Path
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment
5) Open ActiveImage Deploy USB, select "ADK 10.1.26100.2454" from the boot tools list, and follow the steps to create the boot environment.
6) After finishing all steps, rename "copypeorig.cmd" to "copype.cmd" and replace the file in the same folder as in step 4. If ADK is only for DeployUSB, you can skip this step.
