Details
ActiveImage Protector does not provide the feature of migrating the settings.
When the migration source and target is the same PC or when migration source and target version of AIP is the same, migration normally completes. However, in some cases it may not successfully complete. In this case, you have to configure the settings again. Please note that we cannot guarantee the behavior of AIP.
Notes on this article
- The following settings can be migrated. The others (HyperStandby, vStandby) are not supported.
1) Schedule settings (agent-based backup/agentless backup/File Backup)
2)Preference
- When using ActiveImage Protector combined with the an add-on product, for example, ImageCenter, etc., the settings cannot be migrated and most probably you will have to configure the settings again.
- When schedule with post-backup process settings do not normally operate, please access the following article.

- AIP.db file was implemented with ActiveImage Protector 2022 or later. Since this file is locked by AIP Service, the service must be stopped before migrating the settings.
